The Information Technology or Information Security fields can seem extremely intimidating to those on the outside, as it makes use of a vocabulary that is unfamiliar to most people. Buzz words like cloud, cyber, hack, virus, network, etc., are thrown around without being defined for the average person, who may have little or no idea what they mean. I understand the intimidation factor but strongly feel people can overcome it no matter what stage in their career. I have compiled a list of a few websites that are free resources for people trying to break into the field and get their “feet wet” in the worlds of Information Technology or Information Security.
